Wildly Willed

A Video Diary

Scotland Part IV

Hello friends! Well, here is our last video! Thank you for those that have been following along. It was our first vlogging experience, and we weren't exactly sure what to expect. But, in true Beth and Meg fashion, we knew we had to at least give it a whirl and put ourselves out there.
With that being said, I think it's safe to say that we learned a lot from this trip. Details, which we will save for another post, but the most important thing that we took away? Is to have more moments like that.
We were saying how easy it was, fresh out of high school, experiencing the thrills of college (most likely with the help of our folks) to have adventure after adventure. And of course, as life goes on, it becomes harder to find the time, or extra cash. But, that can't be an excuse anymore. We need those thrilling moments, still. To step foot in another country, and mix and mingle with the locals, to drink with the best of them, to laugh with your best friend, to get over fears. Those are the moments that we missed, those are the moments that we gained back from this trip. And I think it's safe to say that this isn't the last adventure that Wildly Willed will take. So until the next one, friends, go raibh maith agat (thank you).

P.S. Megan, here. In the first few seconds of the video, I would appear to be perturbed. I am, lol...to fly the next day. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Wildly Willed
A Video Diary Part II

Well, we are almost a full week back from our adventure, and after this week, I think it's safe to say that we are missing Bonnie Scotland big time. So, to tame the pangs in our hearts, we bring to you Part II of our adventure. This time we take you through the Highlands, from Inverness to Isle of Skye.
Follow the link to see just exactly where we went and what we loved!

Ps. Again, effing Americans. Those camera signs were speed traps. Also, side note, we were pretty exhausted, so you'll have to excuse the last few minutes of talk (*cough cough, Megan) about underwear and laundry detergent. We blame it on the time change, not the alcohol in our hands!

We're Back...And ready to share!!

Wildly Willed
A Video Diary

Hello All!

Megan and Beth, here! Well, we made it. A two week long trip to Scotland in the books! We survived the ever-changing-weather that the Highlands threw our way, the twists and turns of driving, and well, each other, lol.
It was an amazing trip, and while we would have loved to have shared our moments, in the moment, unfortunately Scotland wifi, was just not on our side. So, we decided that the easiest thing to do would be to make a few videos, talking about our trip.
And what better way for us to dive back into reality, and for you to start your Monday, than to share our first post, with you all! We hope you follow along all this week, and laugh with us as much as we did!

P.S. Beth and I should have learned our road signs before we left, the camera sign that we talked about, was indeed for speed traps, not for picturesque views...effing Americans!

By: Wildly Willed

So, we had a few things planned out for this new project, and already life happened and managed to side track us. But, as we know, and you know as well, it happens. Which is why this is a perfect post to inspire us all to shut that shit down, buckle up, and make it happen! Read on friends, read on, and take the damn leap to do big things!

Beth: K, let me just gather my thoughts here for a minute…why do I like quotes…okay…
*Laughs*
Meg: Well, we both know how I feel about quotes. They are everywhere, including tattooed on me.
Beth: I think they are a nice daily reminder of the bigger picture. Maybe for when you are feeling overwhelmed or setting out to start something new.

Meg: We love words…
Beth: No.
Meg: Okay, we appreciate words that spark spontaneous adventures.
Beth: Right. Exactly. And inspire to actually do them.

Meg: So, we dabbled around the internet, aka Pinterest, and came up with five quotes that were our favorites. And that lit the flame with…
*Beth laughs*
Meg: Don't laugh! this is really what I write on my own blog!
*Both laugh.*
Beth: Can we just need to take the cheese factor down a level.
Meg: Whatever here they are…

Meg's Pick:

I feel like with everything in life, you need to start. My blog, this blog, your business, they were all ideas until one day we just sat down and did it.

Beth's Pick:

It's important to get out of your comfort zone and experience new people and different cultures.

 Beth's Pick:

It is never the exact right time to do anything, especially if you wait until you are fully prepared. You are going to miss out on a lot.

Meg's Pick:

It’s true. I don’t think people are fully aware of how much a place changes you, and gives you experience and the stories to share.

Joint Pick:

This one is just pretty self explanatory. We have always set out to not get stuck in a routine.

Wildly Willed

100 Days Out: An Introduction

Before we begin, we just want you to give you a brief insight of our content...

Meg: Okay, Im just going to start writing.
Beth: Okay, and then I will go back and delete half of it.
Meg: Did you know a raven is like a parrot? Okay, we keep getting off topic.
Beth: Yes, the minutes are just ticking by.

Hello! To our new readers, all two of you (probably Nicky, and Holly), welcome to Wildly Willed. A place where friends can come to relate to our fiercely wild hearts and strongly willed ways. To start, let us tell you a little bit about us.
The tall one's Beth, and the short one's Meg. Yes, those are both true facts, but we are more than that. So, to fill you in, we decided to showcase who we are through conversation, something we have grown pretty good at over the years. We came up with a few funny questions to ask each other, and this what happened...

How did you two meet?
*Looks at each other*
Meg: Well, I'll start. Homeroom, ninth grade, Miss Chotoni's room. Do you have a rebuttal to that, Beth?
Beth: I acknowledge that we met then, but we did not become friends until later on.
*Pause* This literally has been a debate for years.
Beth cont': I liked you. I thought were funny, but...
Meg: There's the but.
Beth: But, we were just acquaintances. We had different groups of friends.
Meg: I thought that when I wanted to give my mom notes for you to take to the Orthodontist office, I was trusting you with secrets. If that's not friendship, than I don't what is.
Beth: Well, little did I know how often you had to talk to your mother everyday.
Meg: Next question.

What made you decide to take a trip?
Beth:  My grandmother and her best friend traveled the globe in their later years, and I loved that idea. But, instead of waiting, and for the sake of seeing more, I wanted to start younger.
Meg: Well, obviously to find a date. Who needs to come equipped with his own kilt and accent. Kidding. The past two years, I have had the chance to travel to Ireland for my MFA, and managed to sneak away to Scotland for a few days. Turns out, I loved it, and it quickly became a favorite destination.
*Side note* We totally just were distracted for about five minutes over a Sam Heughan Instagram post.
Meg: I think we need to tell them more about Wildly Willed, and why we started a blog, when I have one already, and you have a business to run, as if we need more to do!
Beth: Yeah cute.
*Sometimes Beth tunes Meg out*
Collective Answer: We are kindred spirits. We have the ability to sit in silence and be comfortable, or fucking a run-a-muck. We are ride and die, fierce friends. And we thought, what better way to celebrate friendship than to write about our adventures.

Let's talk about the elephant in the room...Outlander. Ladies, who's with us? Anyone? No. Okay, well you need to get on that!
Beth: You and Caroline were obsessed with the books and then show, and nagged me to watch. But, I took my good ol'e time and was reluctant.
Meg: Aren't you glad you started watching?
Beth: Yeah, I am.
Meg: And now we can fully admit that we are going to Scotland because of fictional characters. And for me to find a Tinder date. Kidding. Or am I?
Beth: Only the stones know.

So, let's ask the most important question...if you get the chance to travel back in time, what is one thing that you bring from the future?

Meg: Tampons and ibuprofen.
Beth: Plumbing.
Meg: What are you going to do? Fit a toilet in your backpack.
Beth: Fine. I'll just take some snacks. Like for real. What the hell are we going to eat?
Meg: What kind of snacks?
*Laughing uncontrollably*
Meg: Like, you have to have something in mind.
Beth: Ahh, Pringles. Chocolate and a cheeseburger.
Meg: Forget snacks. I need a good pair of footwear. Claire was wandering the Highlands in damn ballet flats. I need sturdy boot.
Beth: I think it's safe to say that were gonna need a bigger back-pack.

Have we lost you yet? So, this is a start, we probably sound like fanatics with no lives, but we will leave with this. We were the girls that got up at 3:30am to hunt down Rob Pattinson at a local mall for an autograph. You be the judge. But just know that we don't care what you think, we are just having fun. But, in all seriousness our friendship is the most important thing about this new blog, and we only hope we give you and your best friend the courage and inspiration to go on adventures too.
